A campaign sends one approved template to many contacts at once — with each customer's own name, amount or date filled in.
Before you send
- At least one approved template (how to get one).
- Contacts with valid mobile numbers including the country code (import guide).
- Enough wallet balance for the estimated cost (wallet & pricing).
Create a campaign
- Open Campaigns and click New campaign.
- Give it a name you will recognise in reports, for example Dhanteras offer — Mumbai.
- Choose the template. The preview shows exactly what customers will see.
- Pick the audience: all opted-in contacts, one or more tags, or a list you upload.
- Fill the variables. Map each
{{1}},{{2}}to a contact field (name, custom field) or type a fixed value. Add the header image or document if the template needs one. - Send now or schedule a date and time (IST).
- Review the summary — recipients, skipped contacts and estimated cost — and confirm.
Who gets skipped automatically
Rviing protects your number by skipping:
- contacts who have opted out (replied STOP or tapped an opt-out button),
- duplicate numbers in the same campaign,
- numbers that are clearly invalid.
Reading the report
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sent | Accepted by Meta for delivery. |
| Delivered | Reached the customer's phone. |
| Read | Opened by the customer (only if they have read receipts on). |
| Replied | The customer answered or tapped a button. |
| Failed | Not delivered — the report shows Meta's reason (for example not a WhatsApp number, or a limit reached). |
You can cancel a scheduled or running campaign; messages already sent are not recalled.
Best practices
- Message people who opted in and expect to hear from you.
- Segment with tags — a smaller relevant audience gets better read rates than a big generic blast.
- Send at sensible hours (10 am – 8 pm IST works for most retail).
- Add quick-reply buttons so customers can respond in one tap — and connect them to a flow.
- Watch failures and opt-outs. A sudden rise means the message or audience needs a rethink.
